6100 Merriweather

6100 Merriweather, a project of The Howard Hughes Corporation, is a new, 340,000-square-foot, 12-story office tower, located within the soon-to-open, urban-like Merriweather District in Downtown Columbia, Maryland. The building includes 315,000 square feet of office space and will be the headquarters of the international cyber security company, Tenable.

6100 Merriweather’s design is inspired by its unique site, overlooking the iconic Merriweather Post Pavilion, acres of natural open space and distant views of Downtown Columbia and beyond. The building envelope is comprised of a series of precast panels angled to mirror the curve of Merriweather Drive and create a series of revealed corners where the facades come together. Changes in grade provide an exposed lower level façade for a retail storefront and entry to the state-of-the-art fitness center. Exposed structural embellishments on the exterior of the tower visually tie the facades together and add an element of interest.
