The Downtown Columbia Partnership presented a Craft Cocktail Crawl Dec. 1, in the first of two Festive Fridays to celebrate the holidays. The sold-out crowd of 150 enjoyed an evening tour of four food and drink stations under tents along the Lakefront Promenade in Downtown Columbia.
Participating restaurants included Clyde’s, Petit Louis Bistro and Seasons 52 and Cured and 18th & 21st, two new dining establishments opening on the ground floor of the One Merriweather office building in the first quarter of next year.
Clyde’s Cocktail Crawl offering included mulled wine and a crab ball appetizer. Petit Louis served Harvest Sparkle, a drink including whiskey and champagne, honey and rosemary, as well as Gougeres. Seasons 52 provided Cranberry Sage Cocktail and Buffalo Spinach and Brussels Sprouts Dip. Restaurateur Steve Wecker personally served a Cold Brewed Coffee Infused Negroni alongside Lobster Bruschetta as a sample of what might be in store at the new restaurants he will be opening in the Spring.
A disc jockey played music while the attendees sampled the attractions and talked with one another.
Sponsors of the event included the Columbia Association and The Howard Hughes Corporation.
